The mountains, rivers, and skies of Colorado and New Mexico are
powerful. Glass is a captivating material; always ready to
amplify the energy around it. Might an artist cultivate these
forces to focus the mind's eye on the spiritual elevation brought by
contact with the Rockies? Yes!
"Since the early winter of 2007, I have been researching techniques to
create images in glass which are as meaningful as the experiences of
living in this magical environment, and are as direct as paintings in
communicating the beauty of these landscapes. Winter 2008 saw the
realization of the first fully developed Landscape Vessels.
During the spring 0f 2009 I began completing the first illuminated
sculptures in the series, and during the summer I took great pride in
mounting my first international exhibition at Muranese Galerie on Ile
de la Cite in central Paris with the generous assisstance of
Cécile Macquet." Here are a
few examples.
